  1. How do I know if eyelash extensions right for me?

  1. What happens during a lash extension procedure?

Your appointment will usually begin with a 10 to 15 minute consultation for your lash artist to get to know you and the kind of look and texture you desire. You will then be reclined with your eyes closed while the lash stylist applies the lashes individually onto your own natural lashes with a safe and high quality adhesive. We recommend bringing in some of your favorite music and some earphones to help you relax and enjoy the relaxation time.

  1. How long does it take to apply the lashes?

Depending on the desired look, the entire lash application process can take anywhere from 90 minutes to 2 hours for a full set.

  1. What are the do’s and don’ts for maintaining false eyelashes?

With proper care, your new eyelashes can last up to 8 weeks. You will want to avoid exposing your lashes to dirt, oil, and immersing them in water for an extended period of time. We recommend applying a lash extender product, which adds a silky layer of protection and adds to their longevity, in addition to visiting your eye lash extension salon every 2 to 3 weeks for a lash refill.

  1. Will getting eye lash extensions have any affect on my natural lash growth?

No – extensions have no affect on the natural growing pattern of your lashes. As your natural lashes regularly shed and grow, the average person loses 2 to 3 lashes per day. This pattern continues without any interruption from your extensions. The false lashes will simply shed along with your natural lashes.

  1. Do eyelash extensions hurt?

You will not feel any pain during the entire application process. In fact, you should be able to fall asleep in your reclined chair as your eye lash stylist works. If you do feel any pain, it means that there is something wrong in the application. The best way to avoid this is to do a bit of research prior to making your appointment to find a certified and experienced salon with licensed lash stylists.   1. What types of eyelashes are available for me to choose from?

  1. What conditions would prevent me from getting Xtreme lashes?

If you are allergic to latex, lash extensions are not for you as latex products and tools are used throughout the procedure. If you have you have a thyroid issue or are undergoing chemotherapy, your lashes are weaker due to medical treatments. Consult with your doctor about the safety of the procedure.

  1. When and how do I remove the fake eye lashes?

As mentioned previously, false lashes shed along with your natural eyelashes and will be completely removed in about 90 days. If you wish to remove your fake eyelashes sooner, schedule an appointment with your salon to have them professionally removed. Removal is painless and usually takes about 20 to 30 minutes.

5 Tips for Exquisite Eyelash Extensions All Summer Long

Your calendar is full of pool parties, surf dates, beach volleyball games, and some free time set aside for you to laze around on the beach – it’s SUMMER! With a new bikini, glowing suntan, and dazzling eyelash extensions, you’re ready for all of the fun and excitement that your favorite season brings. Eyelash extensions are a girl’s best friend during the months when you’d rather be basking in the sun than sitting in front the mirror applying your makeup. It’s the most versatile part of summer fashion, keeping you looking great whether you’re diving into the pool or rocking out at a summer concert. With all of the fun that comes with summer, the raised temperatures and water exposure require a bit more maintenance. Here are 5 tips to keep your lashes looking great all summer.

 

1. Keep fresh lashes away from water for the first 48 hours.

During the first 2 days after your eyelash application, the adhesive creates a bond between the synthetic lash and your natural lash. Any contact with moisture can disrupt this process by damaging the glue and causing even the best eyelash extensions to shed prematurely. To avoid this, plan the application of your extensions to be at least 3 days before a pool party or trip to the beach. Also, stay out of the heat for long periods of time as sweat can do harm to your lashes as well. In addition, take baths instead of steamy showers and take extra care when washing around the face area, avoiding your eyes completely.

 

 2. Be gentle when drying off after a swim.

Once the first 48 hours have passed, you can safely resume all of the water activities that we enjoy so much in the summer. However, do not rub your eyes with a towel after getting out of the pool. The friction can loosen lashes at the root and cause them to shed. Instead, simply pat the skin around your eyes dry.

 

3. Keep away the sunscreen.

4. Don’t get dried out.

The high temperatures can cause your lashes to become brittle. If not taken care of properly, you could find your eyelashes falling out.
