Do Lash Extension Adhesives Contain Formaldehyde?
One of the biggest concerns of our clients and many people considering eyelash extensions is the Formaldehyde content in the adhesives used by a salon. Formaldehyde is NOT an added ingredient in any Xtreme Lashes® Adhesives, as they are
formulated using the same properties and ingredients found
in medical grade adhesives.
That being said, completely “Formaldehyde Free” cyanoaryclates does not exist. Ultra low amounts of formaldehyde naturally occurs as the adhesive degrades overtime. The formaldehyde inXtreme Lashes® Adhesives has not been measurable as it is below the lowest detectable level of lab tests(HPLC/UV) that measure formaldehyde.
Understanding Formaldehyde Content
Formaldehyde fumes, in trace amounts, do not pose any health risks.
In fact, Formaldehyde is found in much higher concentration in numerous household products that we use everyday, such as Gerber Baby Wash, Elmer’s Glue, wooden Furniture and flooring, carpets,
clothing fabric, gas stoves, and drapery. Formaldehyde is even found
naturally within the human body.
